TRENCHANT On Station – After a 29 day passage (from Devonport) the Fleet Submarine TRENCHANT is on station “East of Suez” which is to be the operating area for the “boat” for the next few months, having relieved sistership TRIUMPH.   The voyage “East” allowed the TRENCHANT to carry out trials and calibrations to ready the submarine for maritime security operations, conducting an extensive training package including weapons integration with US forces.   The TRENCHANT will start with a short break in Fujairah (UAE) to prepare for forthcoming operations.
