ANSON Underway – the fifth Fleet Submarine of the ASTUTE Class, to be named ANSON, has reached a significant milestone when the 80 tonne steelwork structure for the Command Deck Module was delivered to the Devonshire Dock Hall build facility at Barrow.   The structure will eventually house the accommodation areas for the crew including the Commanding Officer’s cabin, mess facilities, galley, laundry and ward room, as well as the submarine’s main control room.
