OLYMPIC Trial for OCEAN – the Helicopter Carrier OCEAN sailed up the River Thames and moored at Greenwich to take part in the pre-games Olympic Games security event, with the ship acting as a maritime logistic hub in support the police led maritime security operations during Exercise Olympic Guardian.  Embarked for the operation were four (4) Naval LYNX and four (4) Army LYNX helicopters - the military and civilian exercise is being staged to ensure the London 2012 Olympic Games are as safe and secure as possible.   Also embarked will be small craft operated by Royal Marines from 539 Assault Squadron and 43 Commando Fleet Protection Group,    SEA KING HC4 helicopters from the Commando Air Wing at Yeovilton will also participate being based at  RAF Northolt
