MONTROSE Twin

MONTROSE Twin – the Type 23 Frigate MONTROSE has visited the ship’s affiliated town of Montrose (East Coast of Scotland).       Montrose has provided wharves for hundreds of ships over the centuries and in World War Two was a base for Norwegian and other Allied minesweepers protecting and patrolling the North Sea.    The MONTROSE visited Montrose having conducted missile firing tests off the west coast of Scotland and after four months of Operational Sea Training with Flag Officer Sea Training.     The MONTROSE is due to deploy overseas for seven months in the Gulf later this summer (2013),
