French FRUKUS

French FRUKUS – the years FRUKUS multinational naval exercise begins with four nations gathering in the “host” country at the Channel port of Brest.     FRUKUS, which is led this year by the French Navy, is focused on improving maritime security through open dialogue and increased training by the participating nations, of France, Russia, the U.K. and the U.S..     The U.S. participation will be in the form of the Guided Missile Frigate USS NICHOLAS and the Royal Navy will be represented by the Type 23 Frigate SUTHERLAND.   The French Anti-Submarine FS PRIMAUGET will lead the exercise. They will be joined by another participant from Russia.
