‘Officer of the Watch’ Manoeuvres – the Type 23 Frigate MONMOUTH tested the signalling and shiphandling skills of the bridge team with the Missile Attack Craft AL-AHMADI of the Kuwaiti Navy.   This was followed closely by an impressive air display from two APACHE Longbow Helicopters of the Kuwait Air Force.    Their low-level simulated air attacks over the British Type 23 frigate tested the reactions of both crew and the pilots themselves.    The final stage of the exercise involved a Kuwait Air Force SUPER PUMA Search and Rescue Helicopter conducting winching exercises from the flight deck of the MONMOUTH and thus demonstrated the interoperability of the two forces.
