Libya Revisited – the Type 23 Frigate KENT, en route to a deployment “East of Suez”, spent three days in Tripoli - the first time in forty years that a Royal Navy frigate has been “invited” and the ship hosted a series of events to assist the Libyan Ministry of Defence and Ministry of Interior in their efforts to rebuild essential security structures.   The UK Minister for International Security Strategy (we have one) also took the opportunity to engage with local business leaders during an event hosted aboard the warship.
